Chi, Ki, Life Energy, Prana

Chi is a Chinese word meaning aliveness, life force energy or life breath - also known as Ki, Qi or Prana. The Definition of Chi: Theories of traditional Chinese medicine assert that the body has natural patterns of qi associated with it that circulate in channels, called meridians in English.

The traditional way to increase the flow of chi energy is through chi-kung meditation and tai-chi movements.

A natural increase of chi energy occurs when two or more people with good intentions get together to work on a project or when you work on a project you enjoy.

Acupuncture is used to correct flow of chi energy in the body that is created by blocked chi in the body.

In Interactive Mindfulness we study the energy that creates information of the world around us on a feeling level, and also allows us to explore our mind and body.

We refer to this type of energy as Sensing Energy, or as some have called it, the First Sense, as it was used before the physical senses of touch, smell, taste, feel and hearing became more dominant. This energy travels.

Energy such as used by Reiki or Jo Rei practitioners is chi energy that has a certain type of vibration that is used for healing.

Buddhist monks meditate to create personal energy which can be used to help others.

Chi energy, when it vibrates as white light gives a person a calm feeling. This same white light vibrating faster creates sensations of happiness. When the vibration is increased even more the vibrating white light creates joy.
